4. Generate a word cloud by copying the URL from your chosen website and pasting it into the the word cloud website
5. Upload the word cloud to your wiki (for tagcrowd this will mean going to Save As and saving it as a PDF to your desktop and then uploading the file to your page)
6. On your wikispace generate a list of major themes and events from the Haitian Revolution based on the word cloud
*REMEMBER the bigger words appear the most on the website, if its appears frequently that probably means its important or "major"
7. Classify each theme or event as social, political, or economic and justify why

2. Once the document is on your wikispace, MARK UP the first paragraph. In addition to our regular "marking up" make sure that for each bolded key term you include a GUESS about what it means, (example below):
3. After you read and mark up the paragraph, pair share with the person sitting next to you.
4. While pair sharing, edit your guesses based on your partner's guess and discuss. MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING THE CONTEXT OF THE WORD TO GUESS AT WHAT IT MEANS!
5. Identify the main idea of the paragraph and add it as a final mark-up- LABEL IT "Main Idea"
6. Repeat steps 2-5 for every paragraph (If a key term is repeated make sure it has the same meaning in the new context)

10. Format the events on your timeline to reflect this key.
The reason for doing is because you will be writing an essay in which you examine change (political, social, and economic) in both the French and Haitian Revolutions. Here is the essay question you'll be answering:

Here is the rubric on how you will be graded. Make sure to use it to help you write your best essay. You should strive to meet the criteria laid out in the "4" column:
You will need your work from this classwork today in order to complete the writing next week. This will be worth a quiz grade (pre-writing) multiple classwork grades, and a test grade.
